My PhD research focused on anomalous behaviours in complex systems, using tools from statistical mechanics. Topics included information processing in physical systems, transport in disordered media, anomalous relaxation, critical phenomena, coarse-graining, and control in Hamiltonian systems.
-
I am broadly interested in the emergence of structure and function in physical and biological systems, and in using theoretical physics to gain insights into complex phenomena across disciplines.
-
I am particularly interested in the theory of machine learning, especially in understanding generalization, representation, and the dynamics of learning in overparameterized models.
-
I aim to identify simple, analytically tractable models that capture essential phenomena in learning systems, bridging statistical physics and modern AI.
