I worked on magnetic materials. I investigated new phases of matter arising in magnetic materials with complex energy landscapes. I derived signatures of these phases that can be probed in experiments.
-
Recently, my interest has moved to the process of correcting errors occurring during a quantum computation, which has deep connections to the physics of complex magnetic materials, namely spin glasses and spin liquids.
-
I hope to use these connections to eventually advance current efforts of building large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers.
